How we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you visit our website, book a call, or contact us.
This Privacy Policy explains how Gwiksoft (“Gwiksoft”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit our website, book a call, chat with us, or otherwise contact us. Gwiksoft is a sole proprietorship owned by Ashwani Kumari, based in Patna, Bihar, India. We provide services and consultancy; we do not sell software or subscriptions through this website.
For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Gwiksoft is the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. Personal data we process while delivering services to a client is governed by our agreement with that client.
Information you give us. When you use our booking form we collect your name, work email, company or brand, and — if you provide them — your website or store URL, phone or WhatsApp number, the topic you want to discuss, your message, and the page of our site you came from. We also receive whatever you choose to share when you email us, message us on WhatsApp, use our live chat, or schedule a time through our booking calendar.
Information collected automatically.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this website. Please do not send us sensitive personal data — such as health, financial, or identity-document information — through the website, chat, or booking form.
Under the DPDP Act, we process the personal data you submit on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the booking form, start a chat, or contact us — and for legitimate uses the Act permits, such as responding to a request you have made. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”); this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Where other data protection laws apply to you, we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, or on our legal obligations, as applicable.
Booking-form submissions and chat data are processed by Zoho using its India data centre. Some of our other providers, such as Google and Meta, may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on those providers’ safeguards and on transfers being permitted under applicable law.
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy — for example, to respond to your enquiry and maintain our business relationship — or for as long as the law requires, such as for tax and accounting records. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access restricted to the people who need it, and multi-factor authentication on our administrative accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@gwiksoft.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new tools to the website. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
